An abundance of amputees
Millions of land mines and unexploded ordnances still pose a threat to Cambodians. So far in 2019, 11 people have died and 51 people have been injured in Cambodia alone.
Since 1979, Cambodia has recorded 64,000 casualties and more than 25,000 amputees from landmines.
They have the highest ratio per capita in the world.
